I know what you're thinking.
Pastels in Spring? Nothing you haven't already seen before but hear me out.

Mauve isn't just a pastel.
It's the new nude; your new "wear me with anything" colour.
This simplistic, muted tone is fast becoming a key shade in my SS16 colour palette and I hope you can see why.

P.S. Please excuse the creasing, my seatbelt ruined my plan but these shooting conditions were simply too good to dismiss

It's so fresh and dainty - the perfect alternative to baby pink this season

This ASOS dress was a must have. An exciting combo of the most gorgeous colouring and fit in exactly my style plus how can a girl say no at £28 (I also got the lifesaving student discount!)
With this simple, clean lined silhouette and high neck the piece is so flattering and timeless.
Also because it's jersey its super comfy and makes it feel more casual than your typical midi dress.
I know I'm going to be living in this for the next few months at the very least.

I teamed it with my AF1s to suit my go to casual style. The crisp white contrast made it look obviously Spring ready and was a refreshing change to the dark colours we've all been accustomed to over the winter period.
My mirrored Quay Australia sunnies finished off the look fabulously. My personal style is focused on a limited number of pieces that speak volumes and I think it's safe to say these oversized cat-eyes do all the talking for me. *inserts sassy girl emoji*

links are added where possible for you

- high neck midi sweat dress (ASOS) £28
- Nike Air Force 1 Lo (office) £69.99
- Quay Australia Isabell sunglasses £36

In case you hadn't noticed, my obsession with girly shades is never-ending and with this outfit post I aim to have either reignited your childhood passion or shown you the path to the pink way of life.
My Elle Woods/Victoria's Secret persona aside, hopefully this gives you some ideas on different colours to experiment with in the pastel department this Spring
