If your feet haven't been extra sweaty this week then congrats.
Excuse the TMI intro, but we need to talk about the weather for a hot sec - pun intended.

We spend 90% of the year complaining that it's raining and willing for the weather to become hotter and brighter but as soon as the sun makes an appearance it's as though the whole of Britain goes into meltdown and suddenly everything is because of the weather.

The traffic was bad on the way to work? Must be the heatwave.
Your hair is a state? It was too hot to style it.
WiFi is down at your house? The heat has to be interfering with the signal.

Us Brits are the worst for weather hypochondria! But keep your cool, I have the perfect pair of summer flats that will attend to all your weather related worries.

I present to you, the mule.

The mule is practical, stylish, minimal and so on trend right now!
Although it's been around for a while, this particular pair are Whistles SS15 but the huge high street names have clocked on and this summer we said goodbye to the clogs we all loved last year and hello to it's minimal cousin, the mule.

I am obsessed with this pair! The colour is gorgeous, it's one of the paler, peachy tones of nude which looks amazing with white, especially in the sunshine. I kept my outfit light and tonal to showcase the details of these shoes. The pointed front and cleated sole give the perfect contrast of masculinity and femininity that makes them look premium. I hope you'll agree that the quality is evident from the outset, they look so luxe for an accessible price point.

This look is basically just a homage to Whistles. To me, their SS15 collection was one of their best to date. I bought the dungarees from that period too and knew I would pair the two together. I decided to match the nude from the shoes to a simple tee and left the rest of the details super low key. To me, these two pieces were busy enough with the buttons/pockets etc I hate having distractions. There's nothing worse than having too many things going on with my outfit so I made sure my sunglasses were less statement than usual too.
