HOW I'M TRANSITIONING MY WARDROBE FOR THE NEW SEASON

Making sure your wardrobe is ready for Autumn / Winter fashion is always difficult. Living in British weather conditions is temperamental in itself but add in the pressure to stay on trend without multiple outfit changes in one day and you've got a fashion faux pas waiting to happen...

It's officially the time of year when you wake up needing your trusty cable knit but feel the pang of sweat creep up on you before 2PM has arrived. The in-between of seasons is the most frustrating time for outfits but instead of reaching for your oversized jumper and jeans - maybe try the skirt and jumper combo I've been loving for the past two weeks. More importantly, save a little money too! I completely understand the desire to spend all your wages on the new season products that are dropping each day, but let's face it - there's nothing more annoying than seeing the thigh high boots you so desperately needed on the 30th being slashed in the mid season sale the following month, especially seeing as you only got to wear them twice.

Our winters are hotter than they used to be, whether it's the freak Indian summer or global warming; utilise what you've already bought over Summer through the completely underestimated art of layering.

This blog post was shot on one of those bi-polar weekends so I decided to wear one of my favourite skirts of Summer with a millenial pink plush jumper. I took a page out of Kylie's book and reworked it with a raw high cut hem to show a flash of my bralet - just enough to keep it demure rather than Kardashian (have a gander at one of my previous posts if you like this look HERE). The combination of textures is what makes the look for me, I love contrast in colour along with the cropped torso and high waist bottom, eluding to image of a taller frame - fab news for all the petite girls out there. Take a good look at your existing wardrobe before you start splurging when the student loan drops! You might find your fave new outfit lurking between your Ayia Napa kimono.
I hope you like the post and the look!
