WHAT I WORE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK : BARBIE GIRL II

My favourite time of year has rolled back around but instead of watching via screen, this year I travelled down to London Fashion Week to immerse myself in a microcosm of the blogging industry.
Bet you can't guess what colour I wore...

I am obsessed with pink, as you all know, so it became blindingly obvious when I stepped into New Look that I needed this split layer tule skirt in my life; more importantly as a pertinent piece in my fashion week ensemble. I knew I wanted something show stopping - something that would reflected my personality but also gave me that Carrie Bradshaw edge. I live for pinterest, like every day pinner over here! Have a cheeky follow if you like, as I pin most of my outfit inspiration on here. A while back I pinned this image and fell in love with the different textures and overall feel so I decided to rework this silhouette to my personal body shape and taste. Similarly, when the Barbie X Missguided collection released, I knew I needed to invest in something super cute with a girlie edge. Team the two together and it was my idea of heaven *kitty heart eyes emoji*.

I would HUGELY recommend going to fashion week if you're new to the blogging industry. There's so many opportunities to meet new people and link with brands that you aspire to work with. I've made so many new friends through blogging and it's also a ridiculously fun day! Take your camera and have a ball. I nearly fainted after being less than a metre away from Alexa Chung - huge fan girl moment, so if celeb spotting is on your agenda you're also in luck.

My look often relies on monochrome accessories and today was no different. I like to use bold colours/textures as accents then accessorise with neutrals. This time, to add the wow factor I opted for chrome and silver details including these bargain £10 booties! I made the look appear more high end with a studded biker jacket and a thick double buckle belt. Naturally, I wore a huge pair of sunnies and my go-to simple silver jewellery.

I hope you liked the look and enjoyed the post
