Who said winter had to be dull? (other than Good Morning Britain's weatherman)
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge supporter of monochrome/neutrals. FYI, dusky pink is a neutral to me, buuuuut this season I'm taking a much bolder, brighter approach in racy red.

The red trend emerged on the high street in the later part of SS17 and fast became a staple for all fashion conscious consumers. Whether you're into Supreme, Gucci or Primark, everyone has honed in on it's sudden desirability. If you're ready to make a statement this season, head to toe in red is the way to do it. If like me, you like to walk before you run - purchase some key pieces that are easy to mix and match. So far I only have three pieces of true racy red in my wardrobe, but if you follow me on Instagram it may seem like more because they're so easy to wear over and over again. I've spotted some gorgeous red coats online right now (like this bargain from Tesco) and I'm seriously contemplating investing in on for myself!

I wanted to create a relaxed sports feel outfit with a subtle hint of sexiness. The vibrant red slogan tee and matching red lipstick instantly signalled a yes from me, but this outfit was to be an OTT exaggeration much like my winter outfit focussed on colour from last year, see here. Using Rita Ora as my muse, I upped the anti with my new bargain vinyl high waisted trousers, a sheer bomber jacket and a pair of extreme circumference hoops. The mix of textures paired with chrome accessories gave me all the feels and I was v. happy with how this splash of colour had escalated. I completed the look with the newest addition to my shoe collection, my Karl Lagerfeld X Vans collab slip-ons. If you're into the checkered old skool style but want something a little different, these are fab in my opinion. Additionally, if the fact that the old skool pair are off white/cream is giving your OCD senses an attack, rest assured your thirst for a clean contrast will be met by this crisp black and white affair... I expected nothing less from Karl.
